Prince Junks ( 2,3,4 cabins)

Location: Hon Gai Port
The Prince Junks were designed after the traditional fishing boats of Halong Bay, only on a slightly smaller scale with either 2 or 4 cabins. These Junks belong to the Indochina Junks Family. These are suitable for families, small groups of friends to discover Halong Bay privately. In our fleet, we have 4 Prince Junks

Overview

Prince I has 2 cabins, perfectly suitable for a family including parents and children enjoying the magic of Halong Bay together.
Prince II and III have similar designs and service facilities to accommodate a group of up to 8 persons, or couples sharing trips.
Prince IV with 3 cabins provides a comfortable stay for charter groups, a family, or couples sharing the boat (Prince IV Junk has been renamed Dragon Bay cruise since 2017).

Like all of our boats, Prince Junk is designed with sophistication and a meticulous attention to detail for our guests’ enjoyment. It features 2 decks with dining areas inside and outside, and traditionally decorated cabins with a sea view window, where you can relax and admire the marvelous view. Our crew, with their warmest hospitality, enhances your cruise.

From the time you step aboard, to the time you check into your cabin, or when you are relaxing on the sun desk, you are surrounded by teak and oak paneling and furniture, all constructed by our skilled craftsmen. This makes the Prince, together with our L’Amour Junk, the outstanding members of our Royal family.

Kayaking in Halong

Kayaking in Halong Bay is the best way to explore the breathtaking beauty of Halong Bay. Paddle through islets; visit hidden caves, lagoons, unspoiled beaches and floating fishing villages…Kayaks go where other big boats cannot. Depending on trip length, visitors have different kayak route and time frame. Cruise with Indochina Junk, paddling around the islands, get closer to limestone karst and enjoy the breathtaking nature in a less visited corner of Bai Tu Long Bay must be a great experience for life.

When kayaking, you must follow the tour guide; it is risky to do by yourself without warning or instruction. The tour guide will help you use paddle and guide you to the safe area. Life jacket is a must for this activity when cruising Halong Bay. You can need to prepare suitable clothes: T-shirt and short, swimming suit in summer; warm clothes in the winter; wet shoes, hat, sunglasses… bring water, sun cream, dry bag storing camera, insect repellent…
Thanks to the bay’s thousands of islands the conditions for sea kayaking are ideal – the water is calm, the current is fine and the wind is not too strong.

Beach BBQ

After some enjoyable kayaking, there is no better way of treating yourself than with a private seafood barbecue on an unspoilt beach.
Within minutes a quiet beach is transformed into a romantic spot with beautiful umbrellas providing shade and an elegant dining table right on the beach. Our crew will invite you for a BBQ lunch on the beach – as if it were a wonderful gift granted by a mermaid. Imagine for a moment that you are the only people on earth enjoying a fabulous meal under the clear blue sky on your own private beach.
Start with a glass of wine and proceed to enjoy an array of succulent, grilled seafood. The melodious music of the waves will put the finishing touches to the perfect, dreamy ambience.
This BBQ on the beach is offered and included in 3 day 2 night cruise with L’Amour Junk, Prince Junk, Red Dragon Junk and other longer itinerary.

Fishing Trip

Going fishing with local fishermen makes for an excellent tour. Indochina Junk is the first and only company in Halong Bay offering this program.
Fishing is one of the daily life activities of local fisherman in Halong Bay, they live in the floating village and go fishing every day. In the fishing trip, you will be transferred to a local fishing boat, designed in traditional style and experience making noise, casting the fish net and get your results as real locals.
Our fishing trips create the genuine feeling of being a fisherman on these waters, and make an exciting and interesting excursion for all tourists.

Cong Dam Area

The magnificent beauty of the mountains and sea in the Cong Dam area can make anyone fall in love.
This outdoor geological museum has been preserved for 340 million years and the most outstanding area is a regional park with mountains formed from limestone.
Here a lot of coral reefs are concentrated, with underground lakes inside the limestone mountain and underwater caves. It is also an area of many large beaches, Tra Gioi, Cay Bang and Cat Oan, with smooth, white sand and clear, blue water.

In Cong Dam area is an old, small village, which has retained largely intact its traditional fishing culture with a population of about 120 people. You can talk with local people, hear them tell tales of their memorable lives or sit in bamboo boats paddled by local women who will take you to explore the magnificent mountains and beautiful small houses.
Far from the mainland, the Cong Dam area is isolated from normal tourist routes so the landscape here still retains many primitive features and a very clean environment. Tourists come here to take part in interesting activities such as kayaking and fishing with fisherman, as well as participating in planting mangroves to protect the environment.

Yen Duc Village
Yen Duc village is located on the highway between Hanoi and Halong Bay, creating a convenient stop for tourists to relax and visit a rural community.
This is one of the villages in the Red River Delta that still retains its authentic lifestyle. The local people’s lives revolve around rice cultivation and farming activities. Passing through the village, visitors still find the charming rice fields, traditional houses and gardens, and friendly locals working their farms.
Every day, Indochina Junk arranges for all tourists who use the shuttle bus round trip between Hanoi and Halong Bay to visit Yen Duc village and enjoy a 30 minute Vietnamese water puppet show. Arrival back in Hanoi around 5:30 pm. We also offers other optional tours in Yen Duc village that can be well combined with Halong Bay cruise afterwards.
