Vang Vieng 1 day tour from Vientiane

8h00 : Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Vientiane. Drive along Road 13 toward North to Vang Vieng, We stop on the way to visit the archaeological site of Vang Xang which dates from the Mon-Khmer period of the 8 – 11th century.  Continue to Ban Houeimo and see the process of making Sa Paper handicrafts. then arrive in Vang Vieng around 12h00
12h00 : Lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to Tham Chang cave. Tham Chang is the most renowned of Vang Vieng numerous karst caves and rocky outcrops. These amazing caves are situated to the south west of Vang Vieng and are accessed by a bridge over the Nam Song River. It was used as a bunker in defence against Yunnanese Chinese invaders in the early 19th Century.  At the foot of the cave crystal clear water runs out of the mountain into the river. Just down from the cave there is a patch of grass where you can have a nice picnic by the river. Besides, one of the paths leads to a view point outside the mountain where you can enjoy stunning scenery of the countryside.  Admire the beautiful views of this region, and then return to Vientiane. End the trip at your hotel around 18.00 , End of the tour
