Who needs a visa to visit Cambodia
Most of nationalities need a visa to enter Cambodia, including citizens of Australia, the EU, the UK and the US, except citizens of a few ASEAN countries; Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam ( 30 days); Philippines ( 21 days); Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, Brunei ( 14 days).

Types of Cambodia Visas
* Tourist Visa (T Class)
Enter type: Single entry only
Validity: 3 months ( start from the date of issue)
Length of stay: 30 days
Extensions: Once, for another 30 days
Purpose: Tourism, sightseeing, visiting friends/family
Available as: eVisa or visa on arrival
* Ordinary Visa (E Class)
Enter type: Single entry only
- Validity: 3 months ( start from the date of issue)
- Length of stay: 30 days on entry
- Extensions: Renewable for long stays (business, work, retirement, etc.)
Subtypes:
- EB: Business/Employment
- EG: General/Job-seeking
- ER: Retirement
- ES: Student
Passport validity requirements
To enter Cambodia your passport must be:
Valid for at least 6 months from the date you arrive in Cambodia
At least 1 blank page
Proof of onward or return ticket (occasionally requested)
Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation letter)
Undamaged and complete – entry is normally refused if you have a damaged passport or pages missing
If you apply to renew or extend your visa from within Cambodia, your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the start date of that subsequent renewal or extension.
How to apply
There are 2 ways to apply for a visa to enter Cambodia; Visa on arrival and Electronic Visa (e-Visa)
Visa on arrival: You can obtain a visa on arrival at any airports, river and land borders for tourism or business purposes for a maximum stay of 30 days. Extensions are possible.
Required Documents
Passport (valid at least 6 months from entry date)
1 passport-sized photo ( now only few land borders require a photo, if you do not have it, they can do it for you and the cost is about 2,3 usd)
Visa fee in USD cash
Tourist Visa: $30
Business Visa: $35
Processing time: 10–15 minutes on average.
E-visa: Cambodia e-Visa or Electronic Visa has been introduced by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in April 2006 to promote the Cambodia tourism industry

- Upload passport photo + passport scan
- Pay online (Visa/Mastercard/UnionPay)
- Receive eVisa by email (within 3 business days)
- Cost: USD $36 (includes $30 visa fee + $6 processing)
- Print and carry a copy to show at immigration.
Visa Extensions
You can extend your visa at the Department of Immigration on Russian Boulevard in Phnom Penh. It is easy to arrange in person, just taking a couple of days or through travel agencies.
The extension duration for tourist visa is 30 days only and it costs 30-50 usd
The extension duration for business visa is from 1,3,6 to 12 months the cost is from 75 - 300 usd
Overstay Penalty
If you overstay, you must pay $10 per day when leaving the country.
Where can you enter Cambodia?
There are three international airport: The new Techno International Airport in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap International Airport and Sihanoukville International Airport. There are several land and river borders from Vietnam, Laos and Thailand.
