12-Day Southern Thailand Coast & Island Retreat

Upon arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or Don Mueang Airport (DMK), you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink and a brief introduction to the tour.
The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Spend a full day exploring Bangkok’s cultural landmarks with your private guide.
After breakfast at your hotel, meet your guide and set out for a full day of sightseeing in the City of Angels, using public transportation.
Walk to the nearest BTS station and take the Skytrain to Saphan Taksin, located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Continue by public boat to Tha Tien Pier, where you will disembark to visit Wat Pho, home to the famous Reclining Buddha and the traditional Thai massage school.
Continue to the Grand Palace, one of Thailand’s most important landmarks and revered royal monuments. The complex is home to the Emerald Buddha, the country’s most sacred Buddha image. Appropriate dress is required when visiting the Grand Palace.

06:30 – Pick up from your hotel and transfer to Ban Kalong Railway Station in Samut Songkhram.
07:15 – Arrive at Ban Kalong Station. Board the local train bound for Maeklong Railway Market and enjoy the scenic journey through the Thai countryside.
07:40 – Arrive at Maeklong Station. Explore the market and get your camera ready for the famous moment when the train passes through the market and vendors quickly pull back their awnings and goods.
09:15 – Transfer by private car to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market.
09:40 – Arrive at the pier and board a traditional longtail boat to cruise through the winding canals and observe the local way of life along the waterways.
10:00–11:30 – Free time to explore the floating market. Browse tropical fruits, fresh snacks, and local souvenirs, or try an optional rowboat ride for a closer look at life along the canals.
12:00 – Enjoy lunch at a local Thai restaurant.
13:00 – Take a 10-minute drive to the Elephant Camp for a 20-minute elephant riding experience.
13:30 – Enjoy a photo opportunity with tigers. Sit or stand beside a Bengal or White Tiger for a memorable souvenir photo. You can select your preferred tiger on site.
14:30 – Depart for Bangkok.
16:00 – Arrive back at your hotel in Bangkok. Evening at leisure.

After breakfast, your private transfer will take you to the airport for your flight to Phuket.
Upon arrival at Phuket International Airport, your driver will meet you and drive north along the coastal road to Khao Lak, a journey of approximately 1.5 hours.
Check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 5: Khao Lak – Similan Islands Excursion by Speedboat
Note: The Similan Islands are open seasonally, generally from mid-October to mid-May.
07:30 – Pick up from your hotel and transfer to Thap Lamu Pier in Phang Nga.
08:00–08:30 – Arrive at the private pier. Complete the insurance registration and check-in, receive your snorkeling equipment, enjoy breakfast, and attend a safety briefing with your professional local guide.
09:00 – Depart from the pier for the Similan Islands by speedboat, approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
10:20 – Arrive at Similan Island (Island No. 8). Enjoy free time for swimming and relaxing on the beach, or hike to the iconic Sailing Rock Viewpoint.
11:20 – Continue to Ba Ngu Island (Island No. 9) for your first snorkeling stop and explore the underwater scenery.
12:30 – Continue to Payu Island (Island No. 7) for your second snorkeling session.
13:20 – Arrive at Miang Island (Island No. 4). Enjoy a Thai lunch box set. After lunch, relax on the beach, explore the island’s twin bays, swim, or snorkel at your leisure.
15:00 – Depart from the Similan Islands and return to the pier.
16:30 – Arrive back at the pier. Unwind with complimentary snacks, drinks, coffee, and tea.
17:15 – Transfer back to your hotel. Evening at leisure.

Optional activities include bamboo rafting in Khao Sok National Park or a visit to a local ethical elephant sanctuary.

Check out from your resort and transfer to the pier for a speedboat ride across Phang Nga Bay to Koh Yao Noi, one of the quieter and less touristy islands in Thailand.
Upon arrival, transfer to your beach hotel, check in, and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Board a traditional wooden longtail boat and cruise across the emerald waters of Phang Nga Bay, surrounded by its famous limestone karsts. Then switch to a sea kayak and paddle through narrow cave passages into the hidden lagoons of Hong Island, where steep limestone cliffs create a peaceful setting away from the open bay.
Continue to Koh Tapu, famously known as James Bond Island, before visiting Koh Panyee, a traditional Muslim fishing village built on stilts above the sea. Take some time to explore the village and see how local communities have adapted to life on the water.
After exploring the bay and experiencing local life, cruise back to Koh Yao Noi for a quiet evening at your beachfront resort. Relax by the sea and enjoy the slower pace of island life.

Spend the day exploring Koh Yao Noi. You can take a bicycle or scooter ride through rubber plantations, quiet fishing villages, and rice paddies where water buffaloes roam.
In the afternoon, relax on the island’s private beaches and enjoy views across the limestone islands of Phang Nga Bay.

In the morning, board a speedboat back to Phuket Island and transfer to your beach resort.
The rest of the day is free at leisure.

In the evening, set out on a sunset dinner cruise and enjoy your final evening in Thailand.

Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy some free time for last-minute shopping or relaxing at the resort before your private transfer to Phuket International Airport for your flight home.
