Can Tho is a biggest city in Mekong Delta – Vietnam . Set on the southern bank of the Hau River, it’s known for its canal network and nearby floating markets. The busy Ninh Kieu waterfront is a hub for boat trips on surrounding waterways.


The name Can Tho is a shortened form of “Cam Thi Giang”, meaning "river of poems". Can Tho City is located in the center of the Mekong Delta. It is contiguous to five provinces: An Giang on the north, Dong Thap on the north-east, Hau Giang on the south, Kien Giang on the west, and Vinh Long on the east.

Can Tho has a tropical climate and Two seasons – dry and rainy, Dry season is from December to April and Rainy Season is from May to November . It is best visited between December and February when it is cool and dry at night, while monsoon rains saturate the place between July and November. Cai Rang floating market
Cai Rang floating market is located on Cai Rang river, Cai Rang district. It is about 5 km away from the center of Can Tho city and about 15 minutes away from Ninh Kieu quay by motorbike and 30 minutes away by boat. The market is available in the early morning from 5-9 hours, the cost of renting a sightseeing boat is from 300,000 to 500,000 VND depending on the number of guests. Often overlooked by visitors to Can Tho who just know about the famous Cai Rang Floating Market, Phong Dien Floating Market is certainly less visited and less touristy.
Phong Dien starts around 4-5 AM every day and busiest around 7-8 AM, located just 17km away from the center of Can Tho. This floating market is among the busiest floating market with abundant and diverse products like fruits, vegetables, foods, household items, gasoline and working tools. Come to Phong Dien, you'll have a chance to see the sampan boats, motorboats and big boats full of products cruising slowly on the river, making it such a unique, bustling and no less iconic scene only to be seen in this region.

Don't forget to enjoy the local delicacies being sold right on the boat like noodle soup, noodles with toasted meat, rice soup, Hu Tieu, and coffee, etc. In particular, there are dozens of ferry and vessels anchoring at the river's bank. Bang Lang stork garden

Can Tho Bridge

Can Tho Bridge is 2,750m long and is a bridge over Hau River, connecting Can Tho City and Vinh Long Province. The Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge with the longest main span in Southeast Asia (the main span length is 550m).

Ninh Kieu Pedestrian Bridge

My Khanh Tourism Village
My Khanh tourism village, in Phong Dien district, is 10 km far away from the center of Can Tho city, located on Lo Vong Cung street and between Cai Rang and Phong Dien floating markets. My Khanh tourism village is a place converging the cultural quintessence of the region of rivers.
