Is Vietnam safe for American tourists? This is a very common question for not only American tourists but also for Vietnamese American tourists.
As you know Vietnam and America had along time in War in the South of Vietnam and finished in 1975.
On 20 September 1977: Vietnan joined United Nation Organization
On 18 December 1986: Vietnam opened door to all countries in the World
On 3 Feb 1994: President Bill Clinton ended trade embargo against Vietnam.

Up to now Vietnam remains very good relationships with every country in the world, open door to welcome the tourists from every country in the world, no matter where you are from.

Vietnam is a very safe destination not only for the international tourists but also for international investments. Vietnamese people are very friendly to the tourists and expats. There are alot of American veterans going back to Vietnam to revisit old battle fields, see the changes of Vietnam after many years.

There are so many beautiful tourist attractions, World Heritages and beautiful beaches in Vietnam. We also have many world class 5 star hotels and resorts from the North to the South.

So the answer for this question: Vietnam is very safe for American tourists.
