Aircraft Fleets
The Cessna Grand Caravan 208B - EX
Hai Au Aviation owns and operates three Cessna Grand Caravan 208B – EX amphibian aircrafts. Released in 2014, this aircraft model is considered the safest single engine aircraft in the world, manufactured by the Textron Group (USA), with pontoons assembled by Wipaire Company, Minnesot.

Perfectly designed for sightseeing activity
With 12 elegant seats located next to the large-size windows, you will be able to fully absorb scenery outside without obstacles. The flight is low-attitude at 150 meters above sea level, which elevates the sightseeing experience even further. Moreover, once in Halong bay, passengers will experience the exhilarating thrill of water landings and taking offs..


Aircraft Equipments
Apart from the impressive outfits, especially with the two attached pontoons under each seaplane’s fuselage, all planes have been equipped with the most modern ‘glass cockpit’ avionics, weather radar, storm tracker system and Garmin GPS.  All routes and water operating areas are surveyed and approved for using by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.

Aircraft Capacity
For Hanoi – Halong or Halong – Hanoi flights, our seaplane can typically carry up to 8 adult passengers (with luggage) per aircraft. In some occasions, passenger and luggage weights are below the maximum allowable payload. Therefore, we may be able to carry up to 12 passengers, particularly the scenic flights in Halong bay.

Maintenance
Hai Au Aviation follows the strict maintenance standards of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, as well as in compliance with relevant international standards. Our facilities and equipment are qualified; we also receive technical supports from the manufacturers and other approved maintenance organizations.

Aircrew
Professional trained and experienced team
In every flight, there are one captain and one co-pilots. Due to the small size of the aircraft, there is no cabin crew.
Hai Au Aviation always ensures fully certified and qualified flight crew who are able to operate under IFR (Instrument Flight Rules).
Our captains have at least 2,000 successful flight hours each and have experiences for flying in Canada, Africa, Australia, Vietnam. All first officers are fully-trained, qualified and have accumulated at least 500 flight hours on type.

Survey flights

Hai Au Aviation is currently the only Vietnam’s airline to provide aerial survey services using the Cessna Grand Caravan 208B-EX aircraft.
 This type of aircraft’s major advantage over others lies in its flight range (1,800km), ceiling (100-8,000m), and flight speed (130-330km), making it an ideal device for quick and efficient surveying activities. It has a seating capacity of 9 along with space for sensor equipment, creating a comfortable environment for technical operations during flights.
 For imagery purposes, the body of Cessna Grand Caravan 208B-EX is equipped with purpose-built cutouts to mount LiDAR scanners and other specialty aerial photography equipment.
